Day 8 of the spiritual workout for spiritual transformation

a) Read 1 Corinthians 12, verses 8-11. Today we shall place emphasis on study of the power gifts. Study the references below on power gifts.

Gifts of power – working gifts.
1) Faith. This is supernatural ability to believe God without human doubt, unbelief and reasonings (Romans 4:17; James 1:5-8; Matthew 17:20; 21:22; Mark 9:23; 11:22-24; Hebrews 11:6; 12:1-3).
2) The gifts of healing. This is supernatural power to heal all manner of sickness without human aid or medicine ( Mk. 16:18; John 14:12; 1 Corinthians 12:9)
3) The working of miracles. This is supernatural power to intervene in the ordinary course of nature and to counteract natural laws if necessary (1 Corinthians 12:10; 27:31; Hebrews 2:3-4; Psalm 107; Exodus 7:10-14:21; 2 Kings 4:1-44; 6:1-7; Matthew 17:20; Mk. 9:23; 11:22-24; John: 14:12)

b) Carry out 15-minute spiritual exercises twice.

  1. Expressions of love to God x10 (through songs, psalms, personal words and songs in tongues)
  2. Take spiritual vitamins: make declaration that works of the flesh be subdued in your life (Gal 5:19-21);

I subdue the works of the flesh which are: adultery, fornication, including all forms of sexual immorality, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, envy, anger, outbursts of wrath, malice, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, murders, drunkenness, revelries, filthy communication and the like; I crucify the flesh with it’s lusts, passions, affections and desires.

I put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of Christ; I cause the 9 fold fruit of the spirit to mature, multiply and find expression in my life. This is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance. (Gal 5:22-24).

  1. God has delivered me from the power of darkness and has translated me into the kingdom of His dear son (Col. 1:13); I am redeemed by the blood of Jesus and my sins are forgiven (Col. 1:14); Hallelujah, I am the righteousness of God in Christ and I am a partaker of His divine nature (2 Pet. 1:4). Because Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the law, I am free from sin, sickness and poverty. (Galatians 3: 13)

4) I was dead in trespasses and sins; walking according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, but God has raised me up and made me to sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward me through Christ Jesus. Ephesians 2:1‭-‬2‭, ‬6‭-‬7. Because the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in me, He that raised up Christ from the dead also quickens or makes alive my mortal body by His Spirit that dwells in me. Romans 8:11.

  1. I receive the manifestations of the Spirit in my life and I covet the vocal inspiration gifts as well as revelation and power gifts. I manifest them in the name of the Lord Jesus (I Cor. 12:31). In particular, I covet the gift of Prophecy to empower me to engage my spirit in worship and praise of God and to expand and transform my vocabulary from carnal to spiritual. I receive boldness as I declare God’s words with clarity and power.
  2. Reflect on 1 to 4, communicate with the Lord listen to Him speak to you.
GOD IS SPEAKING, ARE YOU LISTENING?

c) Pray for 1 hour in the Spirit
d) Refresh your spirit every 2 hours.
e) Worship 30 minutes at Night

Thank you Lord for the Power gifts of faith, miracles and healing

    1. Yemi Oliyide

Thank you Peter. This is one of the rare instances where coveting pays out. When Apostle Paul says covet earnestly the best gifts. If the power gifts seem best to you, go ahead and receive them. God will make them work for you. He looks eagerly for vessels willing to manifest and make the fragrance of His love, power and light obvious to the present generation. The earnest expectation of the creature has been waiting for you.

  2. Rachael Hoga.

Lately, my prayer is for God to expose and render impotent weapons of our enemies wherever they are kept and stored. I strengthen my faith today that whatever I ask in Jesus name: God will do it. Thank You Father.

Yes Rachael. Check out John 14:14 and you’ll discover that you’re right on the spot. Jesus will do whatever you ask in His name.

This group and platform must dare to engage in radical prayers because our situation needs just that. The Prophets and disciples did. We stand a better chance in this time of Grace and God’s sure promises.

    1. Yemi Oliyide

Yes Rachael. Prayers take place on a daily basis on God’s Agenda for Nigeria platform. Not only general prayers but also Mountain level prayers. By that I mean specific prayers involving Mountains of Education, Politics and Governance etc. Those continue until Isaiah chapter 2 gets fulfilled.
