Day 4 of Integrity Training

a) Study slide 8 of Module 8 again: profiling a corrupt Nigerian:

b) What are the root causes of corruption? Go through each of the points one by one. For example, to what extent does lack of law enforcement affect our system? Many times you say someone or a leader out there is tribalistic. What about you? Do you not show favouritism occasionally?

c) Consider the link between Proverb 14:34 and economic growth of Nigeria.

Proverbs 14:34  Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. (KJV). Proverbs 14:34  By righteousness a nation is lifted up, but sin is a cause of shame to the peoples.  (BBE, Bible in Basic English)

d) Exaltation of Nigeria comes from a collective effort; on the same note, being corrupt brings reproach and shame upon the system and of course that includes you. What part should I play? You have an obligation to enforce integrity. How? By living righteously by good example, praying (Lord, let your kingdom come), preaching the word and actively proclaiming that righteousness exalts a nation.

e) Carry out 15-30 minutes of spiritual exercises, blessing the Lord for the opportunity to improve your integrity rating and live up to the mark of righteousness.

f) Pray every 2 hours, in the spirit, ask for spirit of integrity/truth.
